I honestly don't know how I will help. Am I just a guilty-conscious, do-gooder who thinks its cool to visit poor people in the Third World? I hope not, but I've got to be honest that it seems almost mind-numbing to think of going to Nairobi for 7 days and think there is any way I can do anything to improve the lives of people there. It won't stop me from going and I'm thrilled at this incredible opportunity but my heart aches in so many ways.
Any advice??
Coach,
ReplyDeleteYou help those kids just by taking time out of your life to go over there and inspect the problem! Afterwards, you know what's wrong, and you can find some way to help even more! Talk to us kids in class who actually care about the world, and we'll share ideas too. We got your back coach! :D
Andddd, I'm one of those ones who care, Coach. You're my favorite teacher and i hate seeing you upset when kids don't really pay attention when you start getting all passionate about what you care about. I LISTEN! I CARE! So you can remember while you're teaching that I care about eveything you have to say:)
ReplyDeleteThanks Charlie!
ReplyDeleteKeep dreaming and work hard.
Always!
DeleteAnd actually i have a few questions I'd like to ask you in class tomorrow about Rice University (I kind of want to go there). See you tomorrow, and good luck booking your flight!
